The Song of Achilles is one of Madeleine Miller's masterpieces. Madeleine was born in 1979 in Boston and grew up Philadelphia, later she graduated at Brown's University.

Her first novel, The Song of Achilles is an original rendering of the Trojan War. The main characters of this book are Achilles, who is son of the Nereid Thetis and the king of Phthia Peleus, and Patroclus, a young prince exiled by his own father in consequence of a murder. Growing up together they created an unbreakable relationship and lived a tragical love story while fighting at the Trojan War.

The main audience of this book is especially people who love history, greek mythology and novels. The purpose of this book is getting to know the Trojan War in a delicated way of Achilles love story.

In my opinion, The Song of Achilles is a 10 out of 10, because it reports through words a breathtaking novel and a tale of Gods and Kings, immortal fame and the human heart.
