Waking up from a coma....and life will never be the same!!

Rachael Lippincott was born in Philadelphia and raised in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. She holds a BA in English Language from the University of Pittsburgh. She was the winner of the Goodreads Choice Award for Best Young Adult Fiction As well as Mikki Daughtry with whom she has written several books, including All This Time. Mikki is an American screenwriter and young adult fiction author. She is best known for writing, along with writing partner Tobias Iaconis, the films The Curse of La Llorona (2019), Five Feet Apart (2019) and Nightbooks (2021).

" All this Time" tells us the story of Kyle and Marley. Kyle and Kimberlywere the ideal couple throughout high school, but when Kimberly breaks up with him on the night of their graduation party, Kyle's entire world is turned upside down-literally. Their car crashes and when he awakes, he has a brain injury, Kimberly is dead and no one in his life could possibly understan how he feels. Until he meets Marley during a visit to Kim's grave.

Marley is a rather unusual teenager, she loves ducks, storytelling and the colour yellow. Although she appears to be a cheerful person, Marley suffers from the loss of her twin sister, which she feels guilty about. And when their paths cross, Kyle sees in her all the unspoken things he's feeling.

As they help each other heal their pain, their feelings grow stronger and their relationship grows. But all is not as it seems and Kyle must make decisions after revelations are made.

In my opinion this book is one of those that at the beginning doesn't promise much but in the end it is 5 stars. The author's writing is easy to understand and can even pass for " amateur" The book is a story suitable for those who like romance but suffers a major twist in the middle that arouses the most varied feelings to those who are reading.

It is one of my favourite books ever.

Who is the killer?

Karen McManus is a great author who writes amazing crime books. She graduated with a BA in English from the College of the Holy Cross and an MA in Journalism from North-eastern University. Karen is currently living in Cambridge, Massachusetts and in 2017 she wrote this book which was the New York Times bestseller. After « One of us is lying» she wrote «Two Keep a Secret», «One of Us Is Next» and now returns with «The Cousins».

Now, let's sum up the story and see if I can convince you to read it. So this story is about a police investigation at Bayview School: Simon's death. Simon was a young man known throughout the school, but not for the best of reasons, he was the creator of «About That», a blog where he shared the most unexpected gossip about Bayview students, and this made him have enemies.

One day, when he was in the detention room with 4 other classmates, who coincidentally (or not) ended up there because they had mobile phones in their backpacks during chemistry class, Simon felt sick and couldn't survive.

At first it was thought that everything happened naturally, but later it turned out that Simon died because of his peanut allergy, as traces of peanut oil were found in his glass of water.

From that moment on, the four students who were with her at detention time, which were Brownyn (the smartest), Nate (the criminal), Cooper (the athlete) and Addy (the princess), became the main suspects of Simon's death.

In order to find reasons why one of them might have killed Simon, the police read «About That», to see if Simon knew anything about them and actually found secrets from all of them, but in the drafts.

Meanwhile the four suspects became friends and believed that none of them had killed Simon, so they got together and investigated the case and they actually discovered some fascinating things.

Could it have been one of them? Was it someone else? Or was it suicide?

You should read if you want to find out!

You already know the story, therefore, I will tell you about my favourite character, which is Brownyn. I really liked her because I identify a lot with her, I also admire her for everything she has been through and for being so strong and docile. She is always there for her friends and family and she is a romantic.

Note: Just because I have a favourite does not mean that the other characters are not good, in fact all of them are interesting and have fascinating stories.

To finish, what I liked most about this book was the fact that I got caught up in reading it, because the story is addictive and very interesting. I also liked the fact that it is an unpredictable story, no matter how much we try to guess certain things, we are always wrong.

I guess that´s it! I really hope I have convinced you to read this book!
